An incomparably beautiful scenery, partly easy military roads, partly rough gravel, magical refreshment stops - the Fanes Nature Park Tour is a tour of superlatives for fit bikers. The Fanes Nature Park Tour leads from San Vigilio via the narrow toll road 13 kilometres gently uphill to the Pederü Hut in the Fanes Nature Park. Then it's down to business - a partly steep and quite rough gravel road leads to the cosy Fanes hut. After a short break, the gravel road continues over the Limojoch and the Limosee to the large Fanesalm. Then it's no less rough downhill towards Cortina d'Ampezzo. Shortly before the Fiames car park, the initially asphalted, later steep gravel path leads uphill to Malga Ra Stua and on to the Sennes hut, which is surrounded by magnificent Dolomite rock formations. Happy with the ascent and a full stomach, we head towards Pederü. Over gravel and concrete, past the Vodara-Vedla huts, the route climbs at a gradient of 21% and numerous hairpin bends on a military road from the First World War to the Pederü hut. Then comes a delicacy at the end - the easy forest trail back to San Vigilio.
